[FR] Le lieu d'exposition, le LiFE, fait partie du colossal bunker construit par la Wehrmacht : un bloc de béton qui sépare la ville de la mer, héritage des jours sombres, espace de mort réhabilité en lieu de vie qui abrite aujourd'hui différents équipements culturels. L'attention a été focalisé sur ces tournants de l'histoire, où un objet architectural s'éloigne de sa fonction initiale et se transforme en quelque chose d'insoupçonné.

"Quels sont les futurs possibles d'un tel lieu ? La proposition de Raumlabors pour Saint-Nazaire est de mettre un pied dans un nouveau marché émergent : la production d'espaces collectifs à partir de déchets industriels. Dans l'exposition, ils présentent leurs premiers essais de structures à l'échelle 1:1 pour l'avenir du logement collectif."

[EN] The exhibition space, the LiFE, is part of the colossal bunker built by the Wehrmacht: a concrete block that separates the city from the sea, a legacy of the dark days, a space of death rehabilitated into a place of life that today houses various cultural facilities. Attention was focused on these turning points in history, when an architectural object moves away from its initial function and is transformed into something unsuspected.

"What are the possible futures of such a place? Raumlabors' proposal for Saint-Nazaire is to gain a foothold in a new emerging market: the production of collective spaces from industrial waste. In the exhibition, they present their first tests of 1:1 scale structures for the future of collective housing.’" Raumlabor
