[FR] L’installation “Open Space” redéfinit l’espace de la galerie du musée K20 (Düsseldorf) en y intégrant une série de pavillons circulaires semi-transparents, construits pour intégrer diverses situations de conversation, de conférence et d’atelier. Un café, une salle d’atelier, un atelier de sérigraphie, un petit parlement et un grand auditorium ont ainsi été fabriqués sur place à partir de systèmes de cloisonnement existants appartenant au musée. L’installation dresse ainsi un inventaire de tous les éléments muraux du musée tout en réinterprétant leur fonction d’origine, en leur conférant de nouvelles opportunités de mise en œuvre et en valorisant leur esthétique dans leur forme la plus brute.

[EN] The ‘Open Space’ installation redefines the gallery space of the K20 museum (Düsseldorf) by integrating a series of semi-transparent circular pavilions, built to accommodate a variety of conversation, conference and workshop situations. A café, a studio room, a screen-printing workshop, a small parliament and a large auditorium were built on site using existing partitioning systems belonging to the museum. The installation makes an inventory of all the museum's wall elements, reinterpreting their original function, giving them new opportunities for use and enhancing their aesthetic in their rawest form.
